Prodigy Event – 11/2010

Once again,

We had the great chance to have our annual Legacy Shop Christmas Tree Lighting event. I will probably publish pictures as soon as I have time :-) .

However, I had to make time to share those photographs below with you. It is about the Prodigy dance group who came back more beautiful than ever to produce amazing and mesmerizing dance choregraphy.

The music they select is always of great elegance and ‘a propos’, pardon my french here… The kids look  like pro’. Their commitment seems boundless, their focus strong and their smile always present.

It seems they gained and lost people in the team since last year. Not sure though. I just wished one day they would reply back to my my mails where I attach the pictures I took :-) . Not that I need them to say anything special but maybe just ‘thanks for the photographs’? Maybe I scare them, seriously?  What do you think??

Amanda Gail – 11/2010

by Administrator on Nov.26, 2010, under Glamour

Hi,

It has been a few weeks since I posted my work. I have been extremely busy. A few shooting sessions, and still going strong. Last week, I worked with Amanda and a crew of other photographers. The idea was to get some fashion type photographs. Not sure I hit the target but I definitely got good vibes going that day! The day was beautiful, as well as was the light. It was glamorous day, and I just discovered this new location to shoot.

So, fashion or not? Let me know…

Ryan Leigh 09/2010

by Administrator on Nov.06, 2010, under Glamour

Recently, I was lucky enough to work with a super sweet model called Ryan Leigh. For those who knows me, you will know I rarely work with professional models. Many reasons for that, and, yes, cost is part of it too. The good news is when you share, it becomes reasonable. But fundamentally, I found in the past that I could not produce intimate enough photographs with real emotions popping out of them as models are usually  so pro’ that they know before me what pose I would want. Kind of disturbing to me. It breaks a bit my dream, if I may say so.

Ryan Leigh is a very natural talent. She sounds like she could be your friend. She looks to be a very simple person, down to earth. She’s happy to be how she is and what she is. You can sense good vibes coming out of her, and that did show in this session. I do not like complicated photographic material, you all know that by now. And Ryan was the perfect fit for me: a natural person. I found also that Ryan was really working with me. She was listening to what I wanted. I have to say that Ryan really knows how to pose for a photographer. She effectively anticipated my moves but without impeding them. Bravo. It is always a collaboration between me and the person being photographed, even though in this particular setup we had tight timing deadline not allowing us to diverge/talk too much. She had many moves in mind that helps when you are under time constraint. And, yes, that is what happens when you share a model with other photographers. I can only imagine the type of photography we could produce if it was just me and her.

So considering we had to make each set short in time, and considering also it was the first time I worked with Ryan, I think I remain frustrated a bit. A one on one session with Ryan would have allowed us talk, work, breaks, fun and talk, work, breaks again, and most importantly a better interaction to construct an emotional image, even though I think we have some emotions in the current set of photographs posted here. And that is what I hope to do with her one day, as her ‘natural’ goes hand in hand with my type of photography.

Well, I will leave you judge of our collaboration…
